So sorry to read this. I hadn't seen Rocky since high school, but went to Jane Long and Mann with him before AHS. I think we met in the 2nd grade. RIP and condolences to his family and close friends.
Rocky was one of my best friends. We played basketball together at AHS. He was by far one of the nicest people I have ever known. God rest his soul and God Bless his family.
I have very fond memories of Rocky at AHS. Very funny and a great guy. I wish we had kept up with each other after high school. Can anyone fill me in on where he lived and what he had been doing the last 50 years?
I knew Rocky casually in high school and then better our senior year; we sat next to each other in Mrs. Dale's senior english class. We weren't chatty, but did have some fun conversations. He wouldn't shave because he said that would make his beard come in and he didn't want to have to shave every day. When I read his obituary and saw the great picture of him and that fantastic beard, I chuckled.
We found out mid-way through the second semester of english that we didn't need the class to graduate. I still remember the look on Rocky's face...
Reading his obit, it was wonderful to see what a happy and fulfilling life he had. God is good.

Rocky always cracked me up! Deadpan, dry wit. Always the gentleman. RIP Rocky.
