Troy Abbe

TUSCOLA, TX

Troy Ray Abbe was born March 24,1953 in Clovis, New Mexico to Margaret Monroe (Moser) and Walter Edward Abbe. He went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2018 in Tuscola. He spent his life as a devoted family man and worked hard for all he had. He worked at Texas Instruments for many years, and while there, with the persistence of his mother in law Charlene Stephens, he received his GED and went on to Wayland Baptist University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Business in 1993. He then spent 23 years working at Eagle Aviation as parts supervisor alongside family and friends.

He was married to the love of his life and best friend, Linda Marie Stephens, on November 20, 1972, and was with her until her last day on this earth. They loved to travel together especially watching their two sons, Troy Ray Abbe Jr. and Billy Walter Abbe play sports and participate in FFA. One of his hobbies was watching his nieces and nephews play sports and was like a second dad to many of them. Recently his pride and joy was his granddaughter Adley Abbe.

Troy is preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Walter Abbe, wife Linda Abbe, son Troy Ray Abbe Jr (TJ), sister Alice Smith, brothers Donny White, Garland Abbe, and Tommy Abbe, and mother in law Charlene Stephens.

Troy is survived by son Billy Abbe, and wife Jessica and granddaughter Adley of Tuscola,; sisters Mary Burleson of Clyde Carolyn Gathright of Plano; and Beverly McConnell and husband Ed of Tuscola; brother Larry Abbe and wife Brenda of Abilene; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM in the sanctuary of Lawn Baptist Church on Friday, February 2, 2018, officiated by Mark Moore and Larry Baird, directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the funeral home.
