I am sad to hear of Ella Ruth's passing. I did not know her well, as it's hard get to know each other during school hours. I felt a connection with her since her first name and my middle name are the same. Her family and friends are in my heart and thoughts.

The I am so sad for family and close friends of Jorgette's at this time of sorrow, and I send prayers to all who knew and loved her. Jorgette and I went all through Abilene schools together. Her smiling face and laughing eyes are etched into my memories of her. She is resting now. May our Creator spread comfort and love over all who grieve for Jorgette.

Happy Birthday, Ira! I agree with you and our classmates who are chiming in about healthy living, especially as newly fledged septuagenarians. I always heard myself saying I’d take the time to live healthier when I retired, as my work schedule was not always conducive to eating healthy and exercising, though lifting books and pushing book trucks is no easy task, much less getting down and up off of library floors. So now, I’m FitBitted with a tracker, eating well, drinking more water per day than I ever have, mowing the lawn, and walking around our neighborhood fairly often. The 70s rocked then and they rock now!
